What is a good Cohen's kappa?
Landis and Koch called 0.61 to 0.80 substantial and above 0.80 almost perfect. Those bands are a convention, not a pass mark. A study protocol should set its own threshold.
Does this kappa calculator work for more than two readers?
No. This page is unweighted Cohen's kappa for two readers and a yes or no call. Fleiss' kappa is the version for three or more readers.
Is Cohen's kappa the same as accuracy?
No. Kappa measures whether two readers agree with each other after chance is removed. It does not say whether either reader matched a gold standard. Use the diagnostic 2×2 calculator for that.
